Liz Newkirk

Elizabeth (Liz) Newkirk (she/her) currently serves as Manager of Digital Media at Loebsack & Brownlee, PLLC, based in Charlotte, NC. Originally from Atlanta, GA, Liz has a background in digital marketing and analytics, content creation, leasing, and overseeing the execution and design of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategies.

Liz studied Business with a concentration in marketing at Johnson C. Smith University located in Charlotte, NC, and has multiple certifications. In 2021, Elizabeth received her Organizational Culture and Diversity and Legal Environment certification from Arizona State University and a DEI certification from the University of South Florida. In 2020, she obtained a Social Media and Digital Marketing certificate from Clemson University, and currently, Liz is pursuing a Fostering Inclusion and Diversity Certification from Yale School of Management. She has a certification in Project Management from the Project Management Institute. Finally, Liz has an Equal Employment Opportunity Certification from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Her leadership roles include 2024, GCAA President of the Suppliers Council, GCAA Board of Directors Secretary, and Education Foundation Board of Directors Secretary-Elect. In addition to her involvement in the GCAA, Liz serves as Chair of the Apartment Association of North Carolina (AANC) DEI Committee, 2024, Vice-Chair of the AANC Suppliers Council, and Inaugural Chair of the SCAA (South Carolina Apartment Association) Marketing and PR Committee. Liz is a 6-time Social Media of the Year recipient, 2021 GCAA Volunteer of the Year recipient, and 2023 National Apartment Association (NAA) Excellence Award Nominee.

Liz is a mom, a dog mom, and a passionate creative who loves Beyonce, dance, Starbucks, and Target.
