GCAA Members Discuss Fire Safety

The Greater Charlotte Apartment Association’s Government Affairs Committee met virtually with Luke McKenzie, Senior Fire Inspector, and Amy Rea, Senior Educator with the Charlotte Fire Department. They discussed fire safety and prevention tips, such as the importance of not storing items near heating appliances. A member asked about best practices for disabled residents who need to climb stairs during an emergency. Another member inquired about best practices for residents using grills on their balconies.
