The GCAA has partnered with Junior Achievement of Central Carolinas (JA) to lease a storefront in JA’s Finance Park, a fully-interactive facility designed to provide real-world work/life experiences for high school students. Our storefront has a contemporary leasing office design with a focus on exploring residential property management (RPM) careers. The space includes an RPM careers wall that highlights maintenance technician and leasing agent jobs, a wall that focuses on aspects of apartment living and a showcase wall that displays pictures of apartment communities in our local market.
We’ve also partnered with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) to embed our Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) and National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) credential programs into one of its high schools as a pilot. We will provide free career development training to high school seniors so they can successfully pass the CAMT and NALP credential exams. After which, we will connect them to full-time employment opportunities with our apartment community members.
