Unintended Consequences To The Eviction Process

The additional 30-day notice requirement imposed by the federal government through the CARES Act - on top of existing state notice laws - has had unintended consequences. This extended timeline is especially burdensome for “mom-and-pop” landlords and affordable housing providers, many of whom operate on thin margins.
