City of Charlotte Unveils Draft 2040 Vision Plan
A two-year planning effort by the city to create a vision for how Charlotte will grow over the next two decades became public last weekend.
The plan will help streamline zoning and other land-use processes and incorporates “place types” that are designed to provide direction around land use in certain areas of town.
The unveiling on October 31 kicked off six months of feedback and review by citizens and council before the government body votes to adopt it in April 2021. The city will continue its outreach to get the draft plan to as many as possible before the spring.
