Outreach to Senate Offices
Date postedAugust 4, 2020
As you know, Congress is at an impasse over the next round of COVID-19 relief. Expanded unemployment benefits and the federal eviction moratorium expired last week. We are now hearing that the Administration (and perhaps some in the Senate) are looking to extend the moratorium via administrative action by federal agencies.
We cannot allow this to happen.
NAA and the entire apartment housing industry have been advocating for robust rental assistance for weeks. An extended moratorium will have drastic impacts that some in Congress still don’t seem to understand.
