North Carolina ECourts Preps for Final Rollout

The final phase of North Carolina’s eCourts will go live on Monday, October 14. The North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts (NCAOC) announced that 49 counties, including Cabarrus, Stanly, and Union County, will be added to the online portal. Ecourts benefits include consistent statewide court business processes, allowing the public to file records outside of business hours, and decreasing phone calls and customer visits for court staff.

Users can file court documents online, saving time and resources. Filing documents electronically can expedite the appeals and eviction process. By allowing 24/7 access to online files for the public, users can have more access to information about their cases.  There isn’t an online user fee, and NCAOC offers online and in-person training and resources.
